From the desk of the Commander...
Well, you turn around and it’s August, how the time flies! Our American Legion Post 105 Family is storming back to life (after COVID). The Auxiliary, Sons of the AL and AL Riders and all doing great things for our Veterans, their families and the community, see their reports in this newsletter.
I’d like your input; we’re thinking about starting a Wednesday coffee for the members. I’ll be there and from time to time so will other officers and eBoard members. We’ll have coffee and thanks to our Auxiliary, pastries from local establishments. This will give us time to get to know each other, discuss anything you’d like about the Post, what’s going on, what you’d like to see changed or added, whatever you’d like to talk about, even if it just chatting about nothing. What do you think? Please let me know by emailing me at CommanderPost105@gmail.com or call me at 650-349-7146.
Also, we’d like to start Red Cross CPR certification for our membership and our community neighbors. Anyone CPR Instructor Certified and would like to volunteer teaching classes maybe every quarter? Again, please contact me so we can talk.
The Post Hall Rental schedule is beginning to book up! We are already booked for the next two months. Please let everyone you know we are open. Hopefully, this new strain of COVID-19 won’t set us back.
Until next month, be safe and take care.
